Limited Capacity full

Often, colleagues refer to me as the "techie" of the group. However, I commonly have the same questions/difficulties when trying something new. As teachers, we need to change our mindset and be willing to take a chance (use CTRL-Z if needed) and learn on the go...exactly how we want our students to learn! During the session, I will show a few of my most recent "discoveries" in Google, but then more importantly I want to guide the attendees through trying out something new for their classroom by "CLICKING" and learning by jumping two feet in! I will reference Alice Keeler's blog and a few other twitter accounts that I follow that are helpful to me.

Sally Akerlind

I am a 6th grade Special Education teacher at South Middle School. Working with students with various abilities has forced me to see learning through MANY different lenses. I have learned to "jump in" and "learn on the fly" with my students because of the differing needs they all have. I have learned a lot along the way, but never stop learning. I love sharing what I know and learning with my colleagues!
