Like George Couros, I am a major proponent of offering students choice in the classroom. In his text, The Innovator's Mindset, Couros equates giving students choice to "strength-based learning." In this session, I will explain and demonstrate how gamification, the application of typical elements of game playing to classroom learning, naturally leads to greater levels of student choice and differentiation.
