Student-Led Classroom-Fostering a Collaborative Environment FULL

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity full

Is your goal to create successful independent thinkers who work together and act in the best interest of others? Then this is the session for you! Learn how we cultivate a collaborative culture in our student-led classroom. Experience a Morning Meeting greeting, participate in the Marble Theory to see how we level the playing field using our different smarts, then "Give me 5" and attempt to lower a helium stick as we empower each other to become active and passive leaders. Learn how to empower students to lead through the use of classroom rituals, jobs, roles, and responsibility partners in a space designed to support collaboration. Learn how we collaborate with each other and others outside our classroom walls through the use Status of the Class, feedback groups, twitter, and skype. Hope to see you at 10!
