Student-Led Classroom-Empowering Students to Own Their Education FULL

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity full

Student-Led classrooms empower students to own their education. Empowerment happens when you share information and power so everyone can take initiative and make decisions. The goal is to help students use their natural curiosity and creativity to develop a passion for learning that will go with them when they leave your classroom. In this session, we'll look at a few fun and engaging ways to empower students to take control of their education. Expect hands-on activities and be ready to collaborate with a group to research, think, make, and improve! Expect to do some playing, coding, critical thinking, reflecting and sharing. We'll wrap up the hour with examples from our 5th-grade classroom (all standards based) that could be modified to fit any grade level K-12. Hope to see you there!
